Lorenzo Palmeri originally created the sculptures out of Stone. Now, by choosing PET felt for the sculptures they have a actual function apart from being an art piece: they really eat noise!
PET Technology
PET felt is made of recycled PET bottles, which are turned into a soft, though strong Felt material. It is durable, UV stabilized and has great acoustic performance. PET Felt is both recycled as well as recyclable itself.
